Question 2: How do I run the map from in the game?
Answer: You need to run Half-Life 2 with the console enabled. You can enable the console in options or you can make a shortcut with '-console' to enable it. Then you need to run the command 'map antlion_troopers' in the console to start the map.
Question 3: Help me this is really hard?
Answer: You need to place your turrets effectively to survive the antlion onslaught. The main objective in doing so is trying to ensure that each turret has cover fire from another turret. This then helps in protecting a turret on its blind zones. Also try and protect your allies so they survive for as long as possible. It is especially noteworthy that you should try and protect the bunker gun gunners at all costs. Some other hints for surviving are:
- Look for spots where it would be hard for a turret to be knocked over.
- Don't keep a turret in your hand. Putting it down allows it to fire as well as yourself.
- If the base seems completely overrunned it is better to flee the base as you'll have more freedom of movement.
- You get two health vials. Use them when necessary.
- Don't forget to stock up on ammo before you run out. Running out of ammo is the worst thing that can happen.
Question 4: What is the difference between low quality and high quality downloads?
Answer: The low quality download severly limits the ragdoll count on the map. When the ragdoll count is reached it begins fading ragdolls to keep it below the limit. High Quality supports 25 ragdolls at once while the Low Quality supposrts 2 ragdolls.
Question 5: Are there any graphical commands to tweak performance?
Answer: Yes there are. The key ones are:
- r_lod - This forces all models to use the specified lod model always. Lod models are a lot less detailed than the up close counterparts.
- Disable AA - AA is one thing which has caused a great performance hit on this map from testers.
- -heapsize - By adding this command to a shortcut with half your ram it will greatly boost performance.

Question 4: Help, part X of this mod is very hard!
Answer: If you are having trouble on a specific section it is more than likely due to you not doing very good on previous sections. This can be caused by a number of issues which are:
- Very impractical troop setup which caused large casualties for the previous sections.
- Very impractical turret setup which caused large casualties for the previous sections.
- You did not help your allies fend off the antlions and therefore suffered large casualties.
- You placed the lives of your allies above your own and therefore caused yourself to sustain heavy damage in previous sections.
- You wasted more powerful ammo on weaker foes and therefore when the more powerful weapons are more useful you did not have them to fight with.
- You did not collect all rare/powerful ammo types and therefore did not have them in later sections. (They aren't hard to find)
