- To know how much health the commander has left listen for aural queues. Every 20% of life he looses he will spout out some corny line about how much pain he is in. Whence he reaches 20% he will then say one more line at 10%, after that he will just die.
- Do not worry about beating the map every time. Even if you don't beat it you still get to submit your scores online.
- As you are heading down the stairs near the end of the map, be sure to keep an eye out for a lambda sign.
- You have hands and turrets can be carried, so it may be wise to carry a turret from the previous section to help you out as you head to the next.
- Let your allies man the bunker guns. They will get far more kills on it than you will.
- Don't be afraid to experiment with your men and turret setups. Sometimes the more riskier setups end up being the best.
- If you want to try and build a high team score versus personal score then you can carry a turret in your hand and hold it up on the wall and you now have an automatic aiming antlion killing machine. (Thanks to Steve Yelle)
- Place your turrets on the first tier walls behind the protective sheildings facing each other at either end. That way antlions have a harder time knocking them down. (Thanks Ilkka Hyyryläinen)
- Use everything you find in the base to your advantage and build shelter. (Thanks Ilkka Hyyryläinen)
- In the first section, use the boxes to get turrets onto the roof of the shed that the turrets are stored in. The antlions can’t get to them there! I find the optimum number to be two, with one angled slightly diagonally toward the left (when facing outward). (Thanks James Dodwell)
- In the first section, make sure you have at least two turrets near the entrance to the inner compound, quickly get them into the second section when it opens up. If you repeat this tactic for the next section, you will have an army of turrets (potentially 10 if you’re lucky and quick) when finally inside the base for the big shootout. The big shoot out is a piece of cake with this tactic. (Thanks James Dodwell)
- Place all 4 turrets in the corner with the little room in it. place one in the room facing out and the others around the doorway. I have never had one knocked over and they work well in a group, preventing antlions getting near any of them. (Thanks Chris White)
